Codependency is a destructive pattern of living, whereby one person surrenders many
of the privileges and blessings and advancement of his or her life because of their
involvement with another person and that person's destructive behavior.
Codependency is marked by a lack of objectivity in the codependents life where
decisions are made that bring further pain and destruction into the codependents
life without having any affect.
Codependents are further marked by a warped sense of responsibility. The roots
of codependency often come from control-centered families, which have had a lot of
hurt, anger, guilt and shame.
Codependents usually long to belong and have trouble relating.
